Review: February Love with Food Box

20160213_042718This month’s theme was Love Is You, and Love with Food has excelled at giving me some “me” time with their delicious snacks this month!

Milk Chocolate Truffles with Milk Chocolate Creme Filling – by Baron Chocolatier

20160213_172827Very tasty! I prefer dark chocolate but the texture of this chocolate was nice. Nice size, too.

Boardwalk Kettle Corn Popped Corn Chips by Popchips

20160216_154422I was sort of surprised by how much tastier these were than Quaker brand. For some reason the butteryness of these really popped! Loved them! Would buy again!

Choco Liege Wafel by Belgian Boys

20160213_200047This Liege Wafel is the SHINING STAR of this box. Holy crap this thing was tasty. I’m actually glad I can’t buy these at my corner store, because I’d be a thousand pounds. I was sad that I had to share this with The Hubs. REALLY GOOD.

Stellar Strawberry Non-Dairy Fruit & Veggie Blend by Ruby Rocket’s

20160219_161302I actually left this to last, because I’m afraid of liquidy things in bags. Yeah, I know, I’m weird. I also won’t eat dairy-based cold salads, but we’ll talk about that later. Anyway, this was actually REALLY GOOD! I froze it like Love with Food recommended and it worked out perfectly. There was a faint chalky-ness to the texture but not too bad. The flavor was really good, and I was so glad this was made with chia, coconut and pea protein and not soy! I probably wouldn’t purchase these for myself because of the whole liquids-in-bags thing, but I highly recommend it!

Googly Grape Organic Lollipops by YumEarth

20160213_200224The name of this company is YUMEarth, and it’s true! These were the tastiest grape flavored lollipops I’ve ever eaten. None of that fake grape flavor here, this lollipop has true concord grape flavor. Delicious! (Hey YumEarth, can you tell TDBank to give these out in their drive thru? That’d be great.)

Power Up Trail Mix by Gourmet Nut

20160213_132257This is just nuts, dried cherries and raisins. There isn’t anything wrong with it, in theory. It’s just kind of boring. The packaging wasn’t marked with “servings per container” so I almost ate 350 calories worth of trail mix. Not good!

All Natural Montmorency Cherries by Stoneridge Orchards

20160214_075614Again, these were JUST dried cherries. Nothing special about them. They were fine, and tasted good in my Cream of Wheat (with hazelnuts and cinnamon), but nothing exciting.

Sea Salt Caramels by Liddabit Sweets

20160213_173724As someone who makes homemade sea salt caramels, I was disappointed in these. There was a slight chemical taste at first bite. Plus, come on, Love with Food, sea salt caramels two boxes IN A ROW? Lame.

Conclusion

All in all, this box rocked, and I ate it all in less than a week, which is good or bad depending on your perspective!

If you’re interested in trying your own Love with Food box, use my referral code and get 40% off your first box! (And seriously, it’s not expensive, it’s less than $10 for the smallest box.)

Can’t wait til next month’s box!

Tchau for now!
