Review: March Love with Food Box

20160313_165222The theme of this month’s Love with Food box is “Love is Real”. Well it’s a nice sentiment, but I didn’t love this box, sorry. There were a few small items that were really good, but overall it gets a giant MEH. Without further ado, here are the snacks:

Fruit Snacks by Horizon Organic

20160320_054004I didn’t snap a pic, but these very tasty fruit snacks were all in the shape of COWS! It was so cute! Don’t be confused, however, these berry-flavored gummies are dairy free and very tasty!

Rosemary and Sea Salt Pork Clouds by Bacon’s Heir

20160321_181912I wanted these to be mind-blowingly amazing (as the packaging indicates), but sadly, these were just good. I love pork rinds, but the rosemary was at a very weird level. It was there just enough to be noticeable, but not strong enough to pack a punch. I would have liked them better if the rosemary was either gone or much stronger.

Lemon Wafer Bites by Dolcetto

20160319_180515We’ve had Dolcetto Wafer Bites before in chocolate, and these are just as good, filled with creamy, lemony goodness in a crispy exterior. Would buy again.

Original Naan Crisps by Stonefire Flatbreads

20160319_184353This is another repeat item. It was okay before and is okay now. Doesn’t taste enough like naan. Just tastes like crackers. I’m underwhelmed.

Almond Roca Buttercrunch Toffee with Almonds by Brown & Haley

Yum. YUM YUM YUM. Yum yum. Get it? The interior is crunchy and amazing and perfectly coated with chocolate and almonds. YUM!

Strawberry Fig Bar by Nature’s Bakery

20160314_220916I’ve had these before and I highly recommend them. I pretty much love anything fig, so this is a no brainer for me. Good news for vegans, too, these are VEGAN! These are less sweet and definitely taste healthier than Fig Newtons while still hitting that note. Will continue to buy!

Pitted Greek Olives by Olympos

20160319_194332The Hubs ate these and enjoyed them, but he likes green and kalamata olives and I don’t, so I didn’t taste them. He said they were good! We both found it sort of odd to get a bag of olives, but who are we to judge!

Peppermint Salt Water Taffy by Salty Road

20160319_180531I live, and was born and raised, in New Jersey. I’ve eaten salt water taffy from before I had TEETH. It was fine, but not as good as what I can get “down the shore”.

Conclusion

All in all, this was a mediocre box. Nothing bad in it, but nothing mind blowingly delicious either. Still, overall I’m satisfied with Love with Food, and will continue my subscription. If you’re interested in giving it a try, use my code and get a discount on your first box!

Have you tried any of these snacks? Let me know in the comments!

  1. One of Mom’s “treats” to get a can of Almond Roca. As I got older, she’d have to hide it from me, because she didn’t like to share lol Every once in a while I’ll pick up a single serving pack, and it tastes just like I remember!
