More About Me (Stolen from The Shameful Sheep)

I totally stole this quizzy thing from Blair at www.theshamefulsheep.com. SUE ME, BLAIR!

1. Who are you named after?

Despite all my teachers always asking me if I was named for the news reporter Andrea Mitchell, I wasn’t named after anyone. However, I was ALMOST named Sarah!

2. Do you like your handwriting?

Yes and no. I have a bunch of different ‘fonts’ for my handwriting, and sometimes I like it and sometimes I don’t. It really depends on how slow I write. I’m inconsistent!

3. What is your favorite lunch meat?

This is a tough one. Genoa salami was my favorite for most of my life, but I think my dad (who is no longer with us) would be pleased to know I’ve developed an affinity for Lebanon Bologna, which, let’s face it, is just smoky salami.

4. Longest relationship?

My husband. We’ve been together since 2001.

5. Do you still have your tonsils?

Sure do! I don’t have my wisdom teeth though, but the real fun fact is I’ve only ever had two wisdom teeth, the other two never developed.

6. Would you bungee jump?

Uhm, doubtful. I don’t really enjoy freefall.

7. Do you untie your shoes when you take them off?

No. I also don’t turn my shirts right side out when I take them off to put them in the hamper. Sue me!

8. Favorite ice cream?

Is there bad ice cream?

9. What is the first thing you notice about people?

If they have a dog, because I’m probably smiling at and saying hello to their dog.

10. Football or baseball?

Baseball, because I know the most about the rules and I used to play catch with my dad as a kid. 🙂

11. What color pants are you wearing?

I’m not wearing any pants! *gasp*

12. Last thing you ate?

A segment of Sumo orange my boss gave me.

13. If you were a crayon what color would you be?

Well I’d LIKE to be dark teal. Or maybe the pink I’m wearing in the photo above. But the question is what color WOULD I be, and I’m assuming a higher power would choose for me. What color do YOU think I’d be?

14. Favorite smell?

Bread baking. Amazing!

15. Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone?

I… have no idea. The last person I had a meaningful conversation with was my mom, but that was more than a week ago, I think.

16. Hair color?

Dark brown, and I dye the underside of it red. Right now the underside has faded to a nice auburn. Time to dye!

17. Eye color?

18. Favorite foods to eat?

Nuts, specifically cashews and peanuts, peanut butter, pizza, dark chocolate. I have to be really careful with all of these.

19. Scary movies or happy endings?

Uh, neither? Most of my favorite movies end with most people dead or miserable. I love Chinese historical dramas, The Fountain and The Empire Strikes Back.

Oh, spoiler alert.

20. Last movie you watched?

The newest Ghostbusters. I will watch literally ANYTHING with Chris Hemsworth in it.

21. Favorite holiday?

Thanksgiving because there’s no commercial BS attached to it.

22. Beer or wine?

I’m not much of a drinker but either depending on circumstances.

23. Night owl or early bird?

I’m up at 6 am every day and in bed before 10 pm.

24. Favorite day of the week?

Depends on the week. My job is Tuesday through Saturday so I don’t hate Mondays nor do I think Fridays are amazing. Maybe Saturday night because I know the weekend is coming.

25: Which three of your favorite bloggers do you want to know more about?

Whomsoever would like to fill this out!

Sorry guys, this is as substantial as I get today. It’s SEVENTY THREE DEGREES outside on February 23 and I am peace-ing out to enjoy it. Later, gators!

  1. Lovely blog, Andrea! I laughed when I read your reply to the movie question…my husband likes a lot of indie films, and someone always ends up dead or in a horrible situation at the end of those movies. He always asks if I want to watch them with him, and I’m like, no way, too depressing! Haha :). And I’m like you re: noticing if people have a dog…I always say hi to the dog before I say hi to the human. Hahahaha

Also, you look fab in that dress! Have a great weekend!

    1. thanks, Brenda! I think I like depressing stuff because I’m a realist, and so many of the super happy ending stuff just feels…unrealistic to me? But it has to be fictional: true stories of people in terrible circumstances does NOT appeal to me, while my husband loves watching ID channel, where every show is about a murder victim. Maybe I just like imitation angst? lol
