The Twelve Blogs of Christmas – 10

12blogsofxmasHey all! This holiday season I’m going to do twelve blogs that will focus on the true spirit of Christmas, giving, while still embodying the true spirit of A Measured Life: maximum results for minimum cash. This series is going to feature twelve ways you can bring joy to others this holiday season even if you don’t have a lot to spend. I hope you find this series fun and inspirational and try some of the tasks I’ve set out for you. They’re easy, honest!

I’ll be counting down from twelve and ending with one on Christmas Eve. Spread the joy along with me!

# 10

On the 10th blog of Christmas AML posed to me:

Spend 10 minutes of your time on FreeRice.com!

Online game to end hunger

From their website:

Freerice is a non-profit website that is owned by and supports the United Nations World Food Programme.

Freerice has two goals:

  • Provide education to everyone for free.
  • Help end world hunger by providing rice to hungry people for free.

How can you say no to something that takes nothing but your time and helps educate you at the same time, all while helping the hungry? Plus, it’s FUN!

I spent 10 minutes browsing famous paintings and have donated 1,000 grains of rice to the United Nations World Food Programme.

Want to donate in the name of A Measured Life? Join the site and become part of the AML group so we can all donate rice together while keeping our minds sharp.

Keep your eyes peeled for #9, coming up next!
