This week I’m working on cleaning up my diet after several weeks of flagrant misbehaving in the food department. It happens sometimes. I’m also either dealing with a very low-level cold or high level bad allergies, it’s so hard to tell! So here’s my menu for the cooler autumn weather we’ve been having.

I made a huge pot of Chicken Burgoo yesterday, which is basically a hearty stoup of chicken and lots of veggies. We’ll be eating that all week long! I stopped at a new vendor at my Farmer’s Market on Saturday and thought of you and how much you’d like it. Mushrooms of all sorts, some locally foraged! Others from Pacific Northwest. He also had sea beans – so cool! Tasty, too!! I bought a couple of ounces from him and used them in my soup!
I’ve never had sea beans that I know of, are they salty?
