It’s taken me a while to get to this one. Why? Because The Hubs kept forgetting to eat his designated foods! So, without further ado, here it is. The theme was Smarty Pants, and we got several tasty treats.
Mrs. Thinster’s Cookie Thins – Cake Batter
These were very crunchy and delicious, but they didn’t taste like cake batter so much as plain old sugar cookies. Very good though! I think I’d like a smaller portion though, believe it or not. GMO, nut and corn syrup free.
Funley’s Delicious All Natural Super Crackers – Cheddar N’ Stuff flavor
The Hubs ate these. He said they tasted just like Cheese Nips, which is apparently a good thing. He “couldn’t tell they were healthy”! GMO Free.
Yum Earth Organics Fruit Snacks
These tasted very much like actual fruit, which was fine, except the bag was half banana gummies. I love fresh bananas, but I won’t eat a truly ripe banana because they’re cloyingly sweet to me. The banana gummies almost made me gag, but if you like banana flavored things they might be delicious to you. The peach ones were delicious! Gluten-free & vegan.
Bear Naked Sea Salt Caramel Apple Granola
The Hubs had eaten this variety before, and confirmed it was indeed sea salt-y, caramel-y and apple-y. 😉
Smarty Pants Adult Complete Pack Gummy Vitamins
The Hubs said they tasted good, but had a somewhat grainy texture which I guess is to be expected.
Snapea Crisps – Lightly Salted
These are very tasty. Great texture, crunchy and only vaguely pea-flavored. In fact, they’re almost nutty! Gluten and GMO free.
Pretzel Crisps Gluten-Free Minis
These were much crispier/crunchier than I expected, but they had a sweet note that I didn’t love. Kind of reminiscent of honey wheat pretzels as opposed to original salty ones. Would make a great option for those with a gluten sensitivity, though!
Mini Peanut Butter Clutter by JimmyBar!
This was just the right sized bite, and peanut butter flavor on top of it all! Loved the slightly chewy texture. Made from whole foods, gluten free, no sugar added and no preservatives.
All in all? This box was pretty good, but nothing in it was mind-blowing. Looking forward to the October box!

A small aside on the snappea crisps. They were not always gluten free, so people who need gluten-free food should beware of that. While they never contained gluten-ingredients, they have a history of cross-contamination, and I’ve gotten a bad bag in the past. Very unhappy tummy as a result. There are some of these older bags still circulating, so people with gluten issues should make sure to watch for the gluten-free label. They’re taking their chances on the ones without it.
I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for those pretzels and the jimmybar, though. Actually, most gluten-free pretzels turn out to be quite good, but I don’t mind sweet as much as you seem to.
